Half-Time v1.3
A simple time or time and difficulty mod that slows things way down and if you pick the difficulty option. Makes the normal difficulty more interesting, but not as punishing as hard mode.
Contained in this download are two versions of the mod. Each of these two versions has 3 time variables to choose.
There’s the TIME CHANGE ONLY directory or the TIME AND DIFFICULTY option.
In both cases, the options contained look like this.
1 Hour = 2 ingame.
1 Hour = 4 ingame.
1 Hour = 8 ingame.
If you choose TIME ONLY directory, the results are fairly self explanatory and you’re set to play after you choose your preference.
If you choose from the TIME AND DIFFICULTY directory, below are the new rules for the NORMAL difficulty setting:
– All Vehicles, Addons and Trailers cost twice as much.
– All Vehicles, Addons and Trailers sell for only 25% of their value.
– All Contracts, Contests and Tasks will pay 50% more.
– You will not start a new game with DLC vehicles owned.
– Garages do not repair your vehicles and now costs: $500 for all classes.
– Recovering your vehicle now cost money:
– $9000 – HEAVY
– $9000 – HEAVY DUTY
– $9000 – OFFROAD
– $9000 – HIGHWAY
– $5000 – SCOUT
I made this mod because I don’t care for Hard Mode at all, but Normal wasn’t challenging enough either. Despite buying all the trucks in game, and customizing them in many ways. I still found myself very wealthy and the desire to grind on to afford new things wasn’t there anymore. Due to player feedback on v1.2, I’ve split the time mod and difficulty settings into their own files to accommodate those who want JUST the time change and not the new difficulty.
This mod is NOT compatible with any mod that replaces or alters the “initial.cache_block” file.
Installation instruction:
1. Go to your game folder and find the ‘preloadpaksclient’ folder.
Here’s an example location: “C:SteamsteamappscommonSnowRunnerpreloadpaksclient”
2. Locate and make a backup of your ‘initial.pak’ file and place it elsewhere. (Always good to have backups)
3. Now, open the “initial.pak” file in your games ‘client’ folder using the latest version of WinZip, and drag and drop the intial.cache_block file of the Half-Time mod you want, into your games “initial.pak” file and you’re set.
