Super HD-450 Dually v1.0

If you’ve used my Super HD-550 mod then this truck will feel familiar. Each ‘Super HD’ version will have a unique style that fits its intended use.

The Super HD-450 is based on a long bed dually pickup with a Limited trim. It’s geared toward campaign gameplay and includes an optional flatbed to carry 1 cargo unit. That flatbed also does double duty with its built-in gooseneck hitch. This is a jack-of-all-trades setup.

At some point down the line, I would like to also make a Super HD-350 which will be a short-bed SRW truck. This is a possibility, not a guarantee since I’m kind of getting over SR.

There are many differences between my HD-450 and 550 trucks. This is not just a front fender swap with dual rear wheels added.

This truck sits on a new OEM-style chassis with leaf springs, front coils, and aftermarket suspension components. The HD-450 is about 2in sorter like IRL and it’s a bit lighter too. This truck has stock F-450 fender flares. The interior has been upgraded to the Limited trim.

To bridge the gap between PC and Console mods, I made custom ‘Non-Branded’ logos and emblems for the console version. If you look closely the emblems say Ferd….and all the Super Duty Indent logos have been replaced by Super-HD logos. Plus more…. Of course, this is pending the dev’s approval. (fingers crossed)

This mod includes many new features to my mods and SnowRunner in general.

Please note that at the time of release, the SR lighting system is still broken. (on current PTS too) This happened with the release of Season 11, so all light flares on mod/default trucks are brighter than intended. (at least on PC) This is more noticeable on mods that use modern-looking lighting. Since the game is broken, it’s virtually impossible to properly set up lights. Luckily most of the lights on this truck are the same as my HD-550 which worked as intended before the Season 11 release. The devs have been MIA about this issue since I filed a bug report over 2 months ago.

You will find 2 versions of the Super HD-450 in the garage.

-The standard version follows my typical tuning and setups.

-The Vanilla-ish version mimics a vanilla gameplay experience. It has default levels of damage, tire grip, rollover angle, fuel, winches, and a manual diff lock. There are also a variety of Vanilla-ish Engine and Gearbox tunes. All of the tunes closely follow the default SR tunes. Or use one of my custom performance tunes with default levels of damage and fuel consumption. Just an FYI… the Vanilla-ish tunes do not take any additional memory since they are just game code changes.

Keep in mind the 2024 Super Duty trucks come from the factory with a 6.7L Diesel engine offering 500hp/1,200 lb-ft torque. So, this truck would and should perform much better than the vintage default in-game trucks.

Taking that into consideration, all of the engine tunes have a 20% increase in performance due to modern equipment and this truck’s higher-than-average scout curb weight. All the Vanilla-ish Gearboxes have default coding and fuel consumption.

The HD-450 offers my new Towing and Hauling experience.

-The trailer hitch is animated and can be installed on the fly with the click of a button from the function’s menu. So, you no longer need to get hung up by the drop hitch when it’s not in use.

-The hitches are now a combination ball and pintle hitch too. The pintle lock can be manually activated from the function menu.

-‘Active Tow Chassis Weight’ is a new Tow and Haul feature. It’s an addon that gets installed along with the Tow & Haul suspension. This is essentially a weighed bumper that can be activated on the fly from the function menu. It will shift the weight from the center of the truck to the front with the click of a button. This is great for leveling out your gooseneck trailer loads. It can also be used with flatbed cargo loads if needed.

Like all of my mods, this is built with 4K / current-gen systems in mind. This is easily my most detailed and realistic-looking mod to date and it has an insane amount of detail compared to most, if not all SR mods. So, with all those details come more memory usage. I did limit the number of wheels, tires, and addons to keep the memory usage somewhat manageable for current-gen consoles.

The ‘Super-HD 450 Maxx Addon Pack’ is geared towards hauling in style. The pack includes some offroad goodies but it’s pronominally focused on the more show-and-go dually haulers.

Besides traditional addons, there are also 3 larger diameter JTX wheels and two tire options for them. Some will love the wheels and I’m sure others will hate them. I’m not into the big wheel trucks but wanted to try something different. A Full list of the addons is below.

As mentioned, there are a ton of new special features on this mod. The details can be found in the addons description. Once you finalize your build, pull up the Functions Menu to see all the animated parts that are available.

The PC version of this mod has the branding included. PC players still need to download the Maxx Addon Pack if they want it. (Sorry console players, the NO branding on consoles is not my rule)
